Foyer Federation – ‘Big Enterprise Challenge’
EiA delivered a 1-day Enterprise programme with 21 very keen young people, some of whom had come from as far as Wigan and Exeter!
This Programme was the first delivered by EiA as part of a developing relationship between Entrepreneurs in Action, the Foyer Federation (the umbrella body for UK Foyers) and DSGi (the corporate parent of Dixons, Curry’s and PC World in the UK).
DSGi were sponsoring this as part of ‘Switched on Communities’, a 3-year (06-09) community investment programme to support disadvantaged local communities in which DSGi operates.
The aim is to provide technologies and training to disadvantaged young people, ‘‘switching them on’ to learning, unlocking their potential and enabling them to take responsibility for their own development as engaged citizens and consumers.
They learnt about Business Enterprise Branding and then participated in an exciting and energetic ‘Trading Game’
